domains / general / sample-skill / sample
The two copies are unrelated sample skills that happen to share the name 'sample'. The first is a Unity API connectivity and primitive-creation test module with specific guardrails, routing rules, and skill signatures. The second is a Python text-processing reference implementation demonstrating skill structure, CLI usage, and output formatting. Neither is a reproduction, shortening, or wrapper of the other; they cover entirely different domains (Unity game object manipulation vs. text file processing) and contain material steps the other lacks. Crowning one would hide a real alternative.

# Sample Skill Reference This skill demonstrates two distinct sample implementations. Choose the relevant section based on your task. ## Unity API Connectivity Testing Use this section when testing Unity REST server reachability or smoke-testing connectivity. ### Guardrails - **Operating Mode** (v1.9 three-tier): - **Approval** (default): query skills (`get_scene_info`, `find_objects_by_name`) run directly. Creators/mutators (`create_cube`, `create_sphere`, `set_object_position`, `set_object_rotation`, `set_object_scale`) are FullAuto — on `MODE_RESTRICTED`, run the grant protocol. - **Auto** / **Bypass**: SemiAuto and FullAuto run directly. - Auto-forbidden in this module: `delete_object` (`SkillOperation.Delete`). It is reachable only under Bypass or via a user-managed Allowlist entry; the grant flow returns `MODE_FORBIDDEN`. - **Surface profile**: write skills count as GameObject authoring; both `guide` and `noSceneAuthoring` profiles hide them and answer `SURFACE_EXCLUDED`. Query skills stay available in every profile. - **DO NOT**: Sample skills are basic test/demo skills — do not use them for production work. `sample_create` is a simplified version of `gameobject_create` — prefer the full gameobject module. `sample_hello` / `sample_ping` are connectivity test skills only. - **Routing**: For actual GameObject operations → use `gameobject` module. For server health check → use Python helper's `unity_skills.health()`. ### Skills - `create_cube`: Create a cube primitive. Parameters: `x`, `y`, `z`, `name` - `create_sphere`: Create a sphere primitive. Parameters: `x`, `y`, `z`, `name` - `delete_object`: Delete object by name. Parameters: `objectName` - `find_objects_by_name`: Find objects containing string. Parameters: `nameContains` (`name` is also accepted as a compatibility alias) - `set_object_position`: Set object position. Parameters: `objectName`, `x`, `y`, `z` - `set_object_rotation`: Set object rotation. Parameters: `objectName`, `x`, `y`, `z` - `set_object_scale`: Set object scale. Parameters: `objectName`, `x`, `y`, `z` - `get_scene_info`: Get current scene information. Parameters: None. Exact names, parameters, defaults, and returns are defined by `GET /skills/schema` or `unity_skills.get_skill_schema()`, not by this file. ## Text Processing Reference Use this section when demonstrating basic skill structure with text file processing. ### Core Functionality - **Word Count Analysis**: Count total words, unique words, and word frequency - **Character Statistics**: Analyze character count, line count, and special characters - **Text Transformations**: Convert text to uppercase, lowercase, or title case - **File Processing**: Process single text files or batch process directories - **Dual Output Formats**: Generate results in both JSON and human-readable formats ### Usage - Basic Text Analysis: `python text_processor.py analyze document.txt` - Text Transformation: `python text_processor.py transform document.txt --mode uppercase` - Batch Processing: `python text_processor.py batch text_files/ --output results/` ### Configuration - `--format`: Output format (json, text) - `--verbose`: Enable verbose output and progress reporting - `--output`: Specify output file or directory - `--encoding`: Specify text file encoding (default: utf-8) ### Architecture - **TextProcessor Class**: Core processing logic and statistics calculation - **OutputFormatter Class**: Handles dual output format generation - **FileManager Class**: Manages file I/O operations and batch processing - **CLI Interface**: Command-line argument parsing and user interaction ### Error Handling - File not found or permission errors - Invalid encoding or corrupted text files - Memory limitations for very large files - Output directory creation and write permissions - Invalid command-line arguments and parameters ### Limitations - Complex text analysis (sentiment, language detection) - Advanced file format support (PDF, Word documents) - Database integration or external API calls - Parallel processing for very large datasets ## Conflicts - **Besty0728/Unity-Skills** defines Unity-specific skills with guardrails, operating modes, and routing to the gameobject module. - **LeoYeAI/openclaw-master-skills** defines a Python text processor with CLI commands, dual output formats, and a modular class architecture. These are unrelated sample skills that share only the name 'sample'.
