Run an independent code review using the OpenAI Codex CLI in headless mode. Gets a second opinion from a different model family (the current Codex models) on recent changes, a PR, a commit, or the whole app — covering bugs, regressions, security, data consistency, UX/state bugs, performance risks, and testing gaps. Saves a severity-prioritised report to .jez/reviews/. Triggers: 'codex review', 'review with codex', 'independent code review', 'what does codex think', 'get codex to review'. Professional code review with auto CHANGELOG generation, integrated with Codex AI. Use when you want professional code review before commits, you need automatic CHANGELOG generation, or reviewing large-scale refactoring.
The two copies describe different procedures for the same skill name. The jezweb copy is a concrete, self-contained workflow that runs the Codex CLI in headless mode, selects a scope flag, pipes a bundled prompt, saves a timestamped report to .jez/reviews/, and summarizes findings. The sickn33 copy is a thin wrapper around an external BenedictKing/codex-review package, adds CHANGELOG generation, and includes installation and safety caveats. Neither copy is a reproduction of the other, and crowning one would hide a real alternative (local CLI review vs external package with CHANGELOG).
