world-development

separate

Use when targeting World Development or deciding whether a development-studies manuscript fits this venue. Encodes the journal's fit, framing, method-and-evidence bar, house style, official-submission re-check, and desk-reject heuristics.

When to use

• targeting World Development
• deciding if a development-studies manuscript fits
• re-framing a general applied or qualitative manuscript
• assessing desk-reject risks
• checking method-and-evidence bar
• reviewing house style and structure
• verifying official submission guidelines

When not to use

• replacing the journal's current official submission guidelines
• purely technical econometrics or theory papers with no development substance
• high-income-country papers with no global-development angle
